Young Samurai. The Young Samurai appeared in the Japanese kamishibai (stories for children told by wandering performers) Flying Dragon Tanuki in the 1930s.

In Japan, centuries ago, a beautiful noblewoman is under attack by the evil, sorcerous White Fox Woman. The noblewoman appeals to the Young Samurai to protect her. A prolonged battle follows, with a number of brave tanuki (badger spirits) and the Badger King helping the Young Samurai and a number of wicked, fireball-throwing fox spirits helping the White Fox Woman.
