Young, Robert. Robert Young was created by the Mexican creator Antonio Gutiérrez (Alex King, Richard, White & Brown) and appeared in the comic strip “El Hombre y el Monstruo” (Pepin, May 26, 1938-Oct. 27, 1939).

Robert Young is the lover of the beautiful Violeta, who unfortunately is also loved by Dr. Wilson. Wilson cannot complete with Young for Violeta’s affections, so Young kidnaps Young and transplants his brain into the body of a giant gorilla and puts the gorilla’s brain into Young’s body. Young, in the gorilla’s body, is condemned to a psychiatric hospital but escapes, becoming a criminal pursued across Africa by the police. The gorilla in Young’s body has many adventures, ultimately protecting King Otuama against his enemies.
