Wrayne, Daphne. Daphne Wrayne was created by “Arthur Valentine,” the pseudonym of Archibald Thomas Pechey (The Adjusters, Substitutes, Limited), and appeared in six stories and forty-seven novels from 1920 to 1961, beginning with "The Benningham Letters" (The Green Book Magazine, June 1920).

Daphne Wrayne is a sporting society girl of distinguished forebears who initially solves crimes as an amateur detective and then joins the Adjusters.
