Wizard. The Wizard was created by Phil R. Sheridan and appeared in The Wizard #1-6 (1940–1941).
Thomas Jefferson “Cash” Gorman is known as “the Wizard” because of his brilliance at making money. (The Wizard’s subtitle is “Adventures in Moneymaking”). The Wizard’s best trick is to buy up failing ventures and then bring them back to health. He does this through honest means, but since those rarely work he also uses trickery, blackmail, and financial manipulation. The Wizard relies on an assistant, James Rogers, to help him and to act as his bodyguard.
