Wilson, Henry. Henry Wilson was created by G.D.H. Cole (Tom Fairford, Benjamin Tancred, Mrs. Elizabeth Warrender) & M.I. Cole (Mrs. Elizabeth Warrender) and appeared twenty-seven novels and short story collections from 1923 to 1946, beginning with The Brooklyn Murders.

Henry Wilson was a Superintendent with Scotland Yard until he brought a former Home Secretary to trial and helped prove him guilty. Because of this act political pressure was put on Wilson’s superior and Wilson was fired. Wilson then became a private detective. He was successful at it, enough so to eventually be rehired by Scotland Yard at his old rank. Wilson is a man of intense curiosity, great detective skill, and an even greater moral integrity.
