Wilkins, Inspector (I). Inspector Wilkins (I) was created by “Francis Beeding,” the pseudonym of John Leslie Palmer (Ronald Briercliffe, Alastair Granby, Professor Kreutzmark, George Martin) and Hilary Aiden St. George Saunders (Ronald Briercliffe, Alastair Granby, Professor Kreutzmark, George Martin), and appeared in Death Walks in Eastrepps (1931) and Murder Intended (1932).

Chief-Detective Inspector Wilkins (I) is a officer of Scotland Yard; he is “an able fellow, shrewd, alert, with an ironic mouth and humorous dark eyes–not in the least like a policeman.” He solves murder cases in rural England.
