White Eagle (I). White Eagle (I) was created by the Spanish creators A. Hernández and Roberto Zambrano and appeared in three comic strips from 1939 to 1956, beginning with “Águila Blanca” (Pepín, July 26, 1939).

White Eagle (I) is one of the Shelly brothers, who were separated as children on the Western frontier of the United States in the years after the American Civil War. One of the brothers grows up among the natives and takes the name “White Eagle.” His brother Bill becomes an intrepid cowboy. They team up to fight against Flor Roja, a white Indian who leads a band of rebellious, anti-Anglo natives.
