West, David. David West was created by George James and appeared in the comic strip “David West of Bar ‘D’ Ranch and Indian Joe” (The Lone Ranger Magazine, 1937-1938).

David West is a young boy and the son of a sheriff. Indian Joe is a cowpoke on the ranch of David’s father. Together, David and Indian Joe fight crime!
