Webbs, Stuart. Stuart Webbs was created by the German creators Joe May (Joe Deebs, Maud Gregaards) and Ernst Reicher and appeared in fifty films from 1914 to 1930, beginning with Die Geheimnisvolle Villa.

Stuart Webbs is a Great Detective. He is modeled on both Nick Carter (I) and Sherlock Holmes, although Webbs has far more gadgets than either, including phials of oxygen, antidotes to poison, miniature acetylene torches, and bullet-proof vests.
