Wallace, Leonard. Leonard Wallace was created by Alexander Wilson and appeared in nine novels and short story collections from 1928 to 1940, beginning with The Mystery of Tunnel 51.
Sir Leonard Wallace is the head of the Intelligence Department for the British Secret Service, although he was formerly in the Hussars and during World War One uncovered a secret German submarine base in Dorset, although he lost his left arm while helping capture the four German submarines and the German spies in the base. He also fights Russian espionage in India. Wallace is a slightly built man of average height who is served by the sepulchral Sims.
