Van Eyck. Van Eyck was created by Richard Wormser (Joe Dixon) and appeared in four stories in Blue Book Magazine from 1936 to 1938, beginning with “Right Guy” (Blue Book Magazine, Dec. 1936).

Van Eyck is a hefty racing commissioner cop who hangs around the tracks, catching killers and foiling the plans of bookies and race fixers. Van Eyck is an inveterate gambler. He is assisted by his seen-it-all girlfriend/secretary Elizabeth.
