Van Wyck. Van Wyck was created by J.U. Giesy (Jason Croft, Semi-Dual, Meade Stilman, Dr. Xenophon Zapt) and appeared in twenty stories in Romance and Clues from 1914 to 1928, beginning with "The Case of Alma Saven" (Romance, September 1914). 

Van Wyck is a Great Detective. He is an upper-class consulting detective in New York City who is known as the “Untangler” for his skill at untangling the most knotty and tangled cases. His Watson is Dr. Sommers, a consulting physician and expert on poisons. Dr. Sommers is more intelligent and capable than most Watsons.
