Van Altermann, Dr. Dr. Van Altermann was created by Steve Sekely and Edmond Kelso (Dr. Sangre) and appeared in the film Revenge of the Zombies (1943).

Dr. Van Altermann is a Mad Scientist. He has a laboratory in the middle of a Louisiana swamp and spends his time creating zombies for the Third Reich, going so far as to kill his wife and add her to the zombie ranks. Unfortunately for Van Altermann, his wife does not lose her willpower when she becomes a zombie.
