Two Gun Kid. The Two Gun Kid was created by Robert J. Horton (Cactus Kid, Spectacular Kid) and appeared in three stories in Western Story Magazine in 1926 and 1927, beginning with “The Two Gun Kid” (Western Story Magazine, June 26, 1926).

“Chick” Calder is a wandering cowboy do-gooder. He is cheerful and mild, but he is particular about his horse, and when pushed demonstrates his lethality with both of his guns at once.
