Trevor, Carole. Carole Trevor was created by “Hugh Pentecost,” a pseudonym of Judson Philips (Luke Bradley, Mark Chandler, Danny Coyle, Park Avenue Hunt Club, John Smith (III), Ivy Trask) and appeared in six stories and serials in Detective Fiction Weekly and two novels in 1938 and 1939, beginning with “We Trade in Death” (Detective Fiction Weekly, Apr. 30, 1938).

After her divorce from Max Blythe socialite Carole Trevor is given the Old Town Detective Agency. She decides to become actively involved in the business, and Blythe assists her in solving cases.
