Tracy, Jerry. Jerry Tracy was created by Theodore Tinsley (Bulldog Black, Carrie Cashin) and appeared in twenty-five stories in Black Mask from 1932 to 1940, beginning with “Party From Detroit” (Black Mask, Oct. 1932).

Jerry Tracy is a gossip columnist for the Daily Planet. He is a “mixer with poor and rich, the crooked and the straight, trailer of trouble and happiness.” Tracy is a small, flashy, dapper "Broadway wise guy" whose mouth often gets him in trouble. But he is always capable of writing, punching, or shooting his way out of trouble.
