Toka. Toka was created by “J.W. Pelkie,” the pseudonym of Raymond A. Palmer (Carla Romaunt), and appeared in three stories in Fantastic Adventures from 1945 to 1947, beginning with “King of the Dinosaurs” (Fantastic Adventures, Oct. 1945).

Toka is a caveman, strong, fast, and perceptive, who with the rest of his tribe hunts dinosaurs, or “big snakes.” Toka lives in a prehistoric past coincidentally similar to the modern day in several respects, including baseball-playing dinosaurs.
