Thunder, Barton. Barton Thunder was created by the Spanish author Edmundo Marculeta (Julio & Ricardo) and appeared in Barton #1-6 (1941) and Barton #1-3 (1944).

Barton Thunder is an adventurer. In his first incarnation he is a Planetary Romance Hero modeled on Flash Gordon and fights bird-headed aliens on another planet. In his second incarnation he is a more standard Earth-bound two-fisted explorer aided by a kid sidekick; he is from Argentina and fights gangsters and inhabitants of an underground city.
