Talia. Talia was created by the Australian author A.L. Pullar and appeared in Celestalia: A Fantasy, A.D. 1975 (1933).

Volcanic activity in Japan 1938 leads to the Japanese overrunning China, which leads to an exodus of Chinese throughout Asia and Australia. Japan takes over Brazil. A 1952 war results in the destruction of Russia and Italy. The “negro population” takes over the United States. The Chinese in Australia are a Yellow Peril, but Talia, half-Chinese and half-Italian, is heroic, although she hates her mixed race heritage and rejects an Australian suitor on the grounds of “Think of the children!”
