Swinton, Inspector. Inspector Swinton was created by Ian Greig and appeared in five novels from 1930 to 1933, beginning with The King’s Club Murder.

Inspector Swinton works for the Criminal Investigation Department of Scotland Yard. He’s a World War One veteran, young for his post, hard-working, and has a nearly supernatural instinct for detecting fear in people he meets, which helps him greatly in his job.
