Sunkist, John. John Sunkist was created by the Belgian author Louis-Thomas Jurdant and appeared in a number of novels from 1933 to at least 1951 beginning with Orient Express, Grand Roman d’Aventures.

John Sunkist is an adventurer modeled on the Saint. Sunkist, an American, is a “rectifier of wrongs” and helps create both moral and legal justice wherever he goes, which is all across Europe–he is “the eternal wanderer.” Despite his good works, the police of Europe don’t like him and make his life as difficult as they can.
