Street, Nicholas. Nicholas Street was created by Nat Schachner (Kerry Dale, Jed, Redmask, Sam Ward, John Wayne) and appeared in three stories in Dime Mystery Magazine in 1938 and 1939, beginning with “The Flowering Corpses” (Dime Mystery Magazine, Oct. 1938).
Nicholas Street is a Disabled Detective. He is a man with no memory. A vicious blow to the head left him with amnesia, and he begins his career as an adventurer freshly discharged from the hospital. Despite his photograph having been widely distributed, no one knows him. He has money in his pocket and a special jade ring, a museum piece from the Ming Dynasty era. But his background and destiny are never revealed.
