Strain, Christopher. Christopher Strain was created by W.A. Williamson and appeared in a number of stories in The Novel Magazine in 1918 and 1919, beginning with “The Poet and the Postage Stamp” (The Novel Magazine, Nov. 1918).
Christopher Strain is a Great Detective. He is an amateur criminologist and a poet, and is thought by his peers to be a “prig and a bore,” though his Watson esteems him.
