Stone, Scarbrand. Scarbrand Stone appeared in a number of stories in Bullseye in 1931, beginning with “The Dumb Barber!” (Bullseye, Jan. 24, 1931).

Uriah Strange is known to everyone. He is a deaf, dumb, and scarred barber who many well-to-do City men use. But at night he takes off his disguise to become two men: the first is Grant Gillows, the well-known and popular clubman; the second is Scarbrand Stone, the clever gangster and leader of a ruthless gang of criminals.
