Steelburg Mills. The Steelburg Mills were created by Herschel S. Hall and appeared in three stories in Saturday Evening Post from 1919 to 1920, beginning with “The Chance” (Saturday Evening Post, Nov. 22, 1919).

Steelburg Mills is a large steel mill which employs an army of men. And as is the way of such things, Steelburg Mills sees a variety of events, from swindlers to murder, involving both upper class city boys to hard-working no-nonsense immigrants who earn their scant pay rolling rods at the rod mill.
