Stavisky, Serge. Serge Stavisky (1886-1934) was a French financier and embezzler; the revelation of his crimes and his political connections scandalized France in 1933 and 1934. In 1935 he appeared as the hero of the Spanish dime novel Stavisky. As de Estafadores #1-12.

Serge Stavisky is a Con Man. The fictional Serge Stavisky is portrayed as far more kind-hearted, sentimental, and filled with goodwill than the historical Stavisky.
