Starr, Dave. Dave Starr was created by William F. Bragg (Dakota Dan, Andy Irons, Flash Moran, Silver Jack Steele) and appeared in twelve stories in Wild West Weekly in 1933 and 1934, beginning with “Starr of Wyoming” (Wild West Weekly, Aug. 19, 1933).

Dave Starr is a young Texan cowpuncher who helps the wheels of justice turn exceedingly fine, despite the long-running enmity of the mysterious bandit “The Rattler” and “Diamond Lou” Lamount, “a cold-eyed tinhorn gambler and range ruffian.”
