Stanfield, Stanley. Stanley Stanfield was created by Ella O’Neill (Black Hawk, Jack Lloyd, Kirk Montgomery, Phantom Rider), Basil Dickey (Black Hawk, James Blake, Jack Holt (II), Masked Marvel, Phantom Rider, Purple Monster, Lance Reardon, Tiger Woman) and Het Mannheim and appeared in the movie serial The Vanishing Shadow (1935).

Stanley Stanfield is a two-fisted, square-jawed hero whose father is killed for opposing the machinations of Cliff van Dorn, the leader of a corrupt group of politicians. Stanfield vows revenge and gets help in this from Ward Barnett, a scientist who develops an array of SCIENCE! weapons, including an “invisibility vest,” ray guns, and robots.
