Song Wuqi. Song Wuqi was created by Zhang Biwu and appeared in over fifty stories in a variety of magazines from at least 1923 to at least 1927, possibly beginning with "Zhentan changpian zhi shibai" (Zhentan shijie, 1923). 

Song Wuqi is a Chinese Great Detective modeled on Sherlock Holmes. Song is known as the "Domestic Detective" because the crimes he solves are simple and domestic, usually involving family members or servants victimizing other family members. Much of the time the crimes he solves are the result of "outdated" traditional customs, such as foot-binding. As Song himself says, "In the heartless and cruel world of today, the Chinese family system is caught in conflicts between old and new. Many strange cases naturally occur within the family."
