Smitson, Richard. Richard Smitson was created by “Willem Bon,” the pseudonym of the Dutch creator Willem Van Der Hoog, and appeared in the film Blokkade (1934).

In the future year 1950 the People’s Federation of Paruma is leading a blockade of the Netherlands. Unless the Netherlands turns over its advanced weaponry, Paruma will starve the country to death. Luckily for the Netherlands, Richard Smitson, the head of the Dutch Secret Service, is on the case, and succeeds in defeating the wicked plans of Charkof, Consul of Paruma.
