Skane, Inspector. Inspector Skane was created by Dwight Marfield (Major Crim, Gail McGurk) and appeared in five novels from 1930 to 1938, beginning with The Mystery of the East Wind.

Inspector Skane works for the N.Y.P.D. Inspector Skane is a large, heavy man who works out of the East 51^st Street Police Station and has an uneasy relationship with Gail McGurk.
