Seleznev. Seleznev was created by the Russian creator Czeslaw Sabinski and appeared in the film Sashka - Seminarist (1915).

Seleznev is a private detective operating among the nobility in Moscow. He is described as the “Russian Rocambole,” a reference to Pierre Alexis Ponson du Terrail’s anti-hero Rocambole. Seleznev’s opponent is Sashka, a vicious criminal who abandoned the seminary to become a master criminal modeled on Fantômas.
