Sebek. Sebek was created by Robert Bloch (Lefty Feep) and appeared in “The Secret of Sebek” (Weird Tales, Nov. 1937) and “The Eyes of the Mummy” (Weird Tales, Apr. 1938).

A group of educated men, including one who writes horror fiction for magazines, a noted ethnologist, and Etienne De Marigny, who was involved with “the Randolph Carter case several years ago,” attend a party in which the host shows them the mummy of what they believe is the priest of the crocodile-headed Egyptian fertility god Sebek. The host, a dilettante seeker after Lovecraftian mysteries, uncovered the priest’s mummy and brought it back to America, despite the curse on it. To their regret they discover that it is Sebek himself….
