Scarlet & Bradshaw. Scarlet & Bradshaw were created by Theodore Roscoe (Thibault Corday) and appeared in twelve stories in Action Stories, Danger Trail, and Wide World–Adventure Trails from 1927 to 1929, beginning with “Jungle Joker” (Action Stories, May 1927).

Peter Scarlet, a little man, fifty years old, with sea-blue eyes and bronze skin, and Holmes Bradshaw, a gaunt naturalist, are “curio-hunters,” treasure hunters in Asia, ranging from the jungles of Southeast Asia to Mongolia, where Scarlet goes hunting for the “phantom castle of Genghiz [sic] Khan.”
