Saxon, Simeon. Simeon Saxon was created by Norbert Davis (John Collins, Doan, William Dodd, Dr. Flame, Mark Hull, The Judge, Max Latin, Ben Shaley) and appeared in a number of stories in Detective Fiction Weekly in 1936, beginning with “Murder Harvest” (Detective Fiction Weekly, Sept 12 1936).
Simeon Saxon works as a detective in "Bay City," a corrupt and dangerous city in California. Saxon prowls the mean streets of Bay City investigating kidnapings and drug rings. Saxon is not as wise-cracking or as violent as Davis’ Mark Hull or Ben Shaley, but he is capable of wit and brutality.
