Saudamini. Saudamini was created by the Indian creators K. Narayan Kale and Narottam Vyas and appeared in the film Amar Jyoti (1936).

Centuries ago, in a kingdom on the sea in India, Saudamini is deprived of her birthright and has her son taken away from her because of the machinations of the evil minister of justice, Durjaya. With the laws of the kingdom against her, Saudamini is left with no recourse but to turn pirate and attack the ships of the kingdom. Years later Saudamini captures Durjaya and Princess Nandini and discovers the whereabouts of her now-grown son, but plot complications lead to her capture and to various palace intrigues.
