Sanderson, Inspector. Inspector Sanderson was created by “David Hume,” the pseudonym of John Victor Turner (Ebenezer Buckle, Mick Cardby, Tony Carter, Amos Petrie), and appeared in five stories in Thriller and two short story collections from 1934 to 1936, beginning with “The Secret of the Strong Room” (Thriller, Dec. 1, 1934).
Detective Inspector Sanderson is a Scotland Yard detective who specializes in the challenge of organized crime. He is not particularly knowledgeable about anything but crime, however, and makes faux pas without embarrassment.
