Sancette, Monsieur. Monsieur Sancette was created by “Christian Brulls,” the pseudonym of the French author Georges Simenon (Jean Dollent, Monsieur Froget, Yves Jarry, Joseph Leborgne, Jules Maigret), and appeared in one novel and seventeen serials from 1928 to 1930, beginning with Captain S.O.S.

Monsieur Sancette, a.k.a. Inspector G-7, is a French policeman. Sancette is a “bloodhound,” energetic, under thirty, thin, casual in manner, and with a chubby face.
