Rist, Enevold. Enevold Rist was created by “Robert Robertson,” the pseudonym of the Norwegian author Sven Elvestad (Knut Gribb, Asbjorn Krag, Robert Robertson), and appeared in four novels from 1925 to 1929, beginning with Manden med Tusen Jern i Ilden.

Enevold Rist is a Fop. He is a Danish dandy and urban playboy. But he is also a consulting detective who is devoted to seeing that justice is done. Rist deals with several nasty types, including the murderous Femme Fatale Madame Fournier, but his archenemy is Robert Robertson.
