Reporter. The Reporter was created by the Japanese author Takeshi Yashiro and appeared in Jinko Shinzo (1938).

The Reporter is a Japanese newspaper reporter who is investigating the kidnaping of a scientist and his daughter when the gang responsible takes a disliking to him. Athletic exertions on the reporter’s part follow, involving leaping from rooftop to rooftop, holding on to a moving car’s front bumper from underneath the car, and so on. Eventually the robot responsible for all the badness is caught and destroyed.
