Renan, Dr. Dr. Renan was created by the Mexican creators Jorge Dada and Alejandro Galindo and appeared in the film El Baúl Macabro (1936).

Dr. Renan is an Evil Surgeon Mad Scientist. Dr. Renan is Mexican. He has a problem: his wife is paralyzed and dying. The only cure, Dr. Renan believes, is constant blood transfusions, which Dr. Renan achieves by kidnapping other women and draining them. Of course, he is eventually killed.
