Red Whirlwind. The Red Whirlwind was created by “Eric W. Townsend,” the pseudonym of Eric W. McLean (Claude Galloway), and appeared in the serial “The Red Fighter” (The Boys’ Realm, Feb. 21-May 8, 1920).

The Red Whirlwind is the Chief of the Cree who is a very fast boxer and very potent fighter and uses his abilities to fight evil around the world, from crooked Greeks to the “Kansas City Coon” to Yellow Perils in China.
