Ravenhill. Ravenhill was created by Robert Ormond Case (Lonesome McQuirk, Dynamite Smith) and appeared in a number of stories, at least one novel, and one short story collection from at least 1929 to 1959, beginning with “The Yukon Drive” (Western Story Magazine, Aug 17-Oct 5 1929).

John Ravenhill is a cynical, “devil-may-care remittance man” working for various employers in the Canadian northwest and Alaska. Ravenhill is a pilot and adventurer, a treasure-hunter and guide, someone out for himself but cursed by a sentimental streak to help those in need.
