Ransom, Nick. Nick Ransom was created by “John Gregory,” a pseudonym used in this case by Robert Leslie Bellem (Little Jack Horner, Duke Pizzatello, Tate Shevlin, Dan Turner, Dr. Zarkov), and appeared in fifteen stories in a variety of pulps between 1939 and 1950, beginning with “Short Cut to Vengeance” (Variety Detective Magazine, Dec. 1939).

Nick Ransom is a Bellem. He is a former Hollywood stuntman turned private detective. He is helped by his friend, the policeman Ole Brunvig.
