Rangue, Durna. Durna Rangue was created by Neil R. Jones (Nez Hulan, Professor Jameson, Miller Rand) and appeared in nine stories in several magazines, from 1933 to 1951, beginning with “Escape from Phobos” (Wonder Stories, Feb. 1933).

In the twenty-fourth century the Earth is ruled by a vicious scientific and religious cult known as the Durna Rangue. The Durna Rangue, also known as the Asurians, have advanced technology but use it to perform cruel experiments, including vivisection on human captives. The Durna Rangue are tall, hooded figures. They are eventually defeated.
