Raneleigh, Arthur. Arthur Raneleigh was created by Mark Lee Luther and appeared in Card 13 (1930) and The Saranoff Murder (1930).

Arthur Raneleigh is an introverted novelist in Hollywood who turns amateur detective when his friends and acquaintances become involved in murders. Raneleigh knows various starlets and screenwriters and is loyal enough to his friends to risk his life in solving crimes they are involved in. He is thoughtful, polite, and observant.
