Raeburn, James. James Raeburn was created by “Joanna Cannan,” the pseudonym of Josephine Pullein-Thompson (Guy Northeast), and appeared in the novels The Hills Sleep On (1935) and A Hand To Burn (1936).

James Raeburn is a British spy. He is a mountaineer, which is why he sent to Tibet on his first case. On his second, he is active in Brittany.
