Quick, Jimmy. Jimmy Quick was created by “Frank J. Litchfield,” a Street & Smith pseudonym used in this case by Cliff Farrell (Doc Elton), and appeared in twenty-two stories in Wild West Weekly in 1934 and 1935, beginning with “The John Law From Outside” (Wild West Weekly, Feb. 10, 1934).

Jimmy Quick is a wandering crime-fighter and “trouble-shooter.” At the moment he is a Texas marshal, but “at times in the past he had toted most every kind of emblem of authority from that of deputy sheriff to United States marshal.”
