Power, Michael. Michael Power was created by Herbert Allingham (Dick Darrell, Polly Perkins, Martin Steel) and appeared in four story serials from 1901 to 1910, beginning with “The Achievements of Michael Power” (Pearson’s Weekly, 1901).

Michael Power is a British private detective who runs his own agency. Eventually he takes on Maggie MacFee, a failed typist, as an assistant and the pair become lovers.
