Polo, Eddy (I). Eddie Polo (1875-1961) was one of the giants of the silent film era; he was known as the “Hercules of the Screen” and was internationally famous. In 1919 he was the hero of the Celebrity Pulp serial “The Circus King” in The Marvel (Aug. 23, 1919-?).

The fictional Eddy Polo is a circus owner and adventurer who fights evil with the help of his circus.
